Digital inheritance

Your digital life deserves a plan.

ExposureShield helps you organize digital assets, important documents, business information, and future instructions in one private plan. You decide who may receive information, what they may receive, and which release process applies.

Organize your digital life

Record digital assets, Vault documents and instructions in one place you control.

Choose trusted people

Assign Personal Trustees, Business Successors and Independent Verifiers. Listing someone does not give them access.

Define controlled access

Set exactly what can be released, to whom, and under what conditions.

How it works

A clear path from preparation to trusted access.

  1. Create your plan

Start a private plan for the accounts, files and guidance that should not be lost.

  2. Add assets and documents

Record digital property and store supporting files in the Vault.

  3. Choose trusted people

Name who may later receive authorized information. Designation is not access.

  4. Define inheritance rules

Decide who may receive which information, and when.

  5. Release only when authorized

Information moves only through Owner-Authorized Release or Succession Activation.

Trusted people

Choose who you trust. Define what they can receive.

You choose every role. A name on the plan is a record, not an open door.

Being named as a trusted person does not automatically provide access.

Personal Trustee

A person you designate for personal digital information you assign to them.

Business Successor

Receives only authorized business information. Personal digital life is not included automatically.

Independent Verifier

Reviews supporting evidence for Succession Activation. Review is not release.

Two ways information can move

Two controlled ways information can move.

These paths are separate. One does not approve the other.

Path A

While you can act

Owner-Authorized Release

Share selected information now without activating your inheritance plan.

  1. Select recipient
  2. Choose information
  3. Re-enter password
  4. Confirm RELEASE
  5. Scoped access

Path B

When succession is needed

Succession Activation

A controlled request, review and waiting period before scoped release.

  1. Activation request
  2. Supporting documents
  3. Identity review
  4. Independent review
  5. Waiting period
  6. Scoped release

Assets, Vault and documents

Everything important, organized around your plan.

Keep accounts, files, domains and existing estate documents organized with your plan.

  • Digital accounts
  • Domains and websites
  • Important files
  • Instructions
  • Business information
  • Existing estate documents

ExposureShield can help organize existing estate documents. It does not create a legal will or trust.

Business succession

Prepare the business you built for continuity.

Domains, websites, platforms, operational information, and other business resources can depend heavily on one person. ExposureShield lets you designate a Business Successor and authorize only the business information intended for that role.

Who it is for

Built for families, founders and digital lives.

Families

Give trusted family members a clear way to receive only the information you authorize, when the right process is complete.

Individuals

Keep accounts, files, and instructions organized so your digital life does not become inaccessible if you cannot act.

Founders & Entrepreneurs

Separate personal digital life from business continuity, and name who may receive each kind of information.

Small Businesses & Professional Firms

Questions

Common questions about digital inheritance

What is digital inheritance?

Digital inheritance is the work of organizing digital assets, trusted people, release conditions and instructions. ExposureShield is software for that plan. It does not create a legal will or transfer third-party accounts by itself.

What is a Personal Trustee?

A Personal Trustee is a person you designate on your plan. They may later receive only the information you authorize for a released rule or an Owner-Authorized Release. This is not a court-appointed executor.

What is a Business Successor?

A Business Successor is designated for authorized business information only. Personal estate content is not included unless you separately authorize it.

Does naming someone give them access?

No. A trustee can sign in to a portal, but plan content is available only after Owner-Authorized Release or a completed Succession Activation for a rule assigned to them.

What is Owner-Authorized Release?

While you can act, you can select a recipient and specific information, re-enter your password, and type RELEASE. That grants immediate scoped access. It does not activate succession.

What is Succession Activation?

Succession Activation is a reviewed request for scoped release when succession is needed. It requires supporting documents, identity review, independent review where required, and any waiting period.

Does ExposureShield automatically detect death or incapacity?

No. Succession Activation requires a request, supporting documents, identity review, independent review where required, and any waiting period.

Is ExposureShield a will or trust?

No. ExposureShield helps organize existing estate documents. It does not create a will or trust and does not provide legal advice.

How does billing work?

Prices are shown in USD. ExposureShield is $5.99/month or $59.90/year. Annual billing is $4.99/month and saves $11.98 a year. New accounts include a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime from Account through Stripe. After the trial or paid period ends, an active subscription is required for write actions.
